This project — Blood Donor Finder Bangladesh — is a frontend prototype designed to demonstrate how web technology can solve real-life social problems.
In Bangladesh, blood emergencies are a daily reality. Thousands of lives are at risk due to difficulty in locating compatible donors quickly. This platform bridges the gap between donors and those in urgent need.
Donor data is stored securely using browser localStorage — meaning your information stays on your device. No data is shared with third parties.

Everything you need to know about donating blood safely
One unit of blood can save up to 3 lives. Accident victims, surgery patients, and cancer patients all depend on voluntary donors.
Healthy adults can safely donate whole blood every 3 months (90 days). Your body replenishes blood within 4–8 weeks.
Stay well-hydrated before donation. Drink at least 500ml of water in the hours before your appointment for a smoother process.
Have a nutritious, iron-rich meal 2–3 hours before donating. Avoid fatty foods. Eat well after donation to replenish energy.
Donors must be 18–60 years old and weigh at least 50kg. You'll pass a brief health check before donating.
Take it easy for 24 hours after donating. Avoid heavy exercise, smoking, and alcohol on donation day.
Every donated unit is tested for infectious diseases before use. Blood banks follow strict protocols to ensure patient safety.
Voluntary, unpaid donors are the safest source of blood. Registering as a regular donor helps build a reliable supply for emergencies.
